A fantastic opportunity for a driven and hands-on Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering consistently high kitchen standards within a fast-paced, professional environment.
This role is ideal for a strong team player with solid leadership skills, a passion for food quality and the ability to maintain structure, consistency and standards across all kitchen operations.
What You’ll Do

Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations

Lead and supervise the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence

Train, guide and assess junior kitchen team members

Oversee food preparation, plating and presentation to required standards

Assist with menu development and daily menu execution

Manage stock control, ordering and food rotation procedures

Minimise waste and support cost control initiatives

Ensure all dishes meet quality, quantity, presentation and temperature standards

Maintain health, safety and hygiene compliance at all times

Coordinate staffing, rosters and kitchen readiness for reservations and events
What You’ll Need

Recognised culinary qualification

Experience in a senior kitchen role within a professional kitchen environment

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively under pressure and during peak service
