An excellent opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a high-end hospitality operation in Franschhoek. This role is suited to a hands-on leader with strong fine-dining experience, a passion for service excellence, and the ability to manage both people and operations to the highest standard.
What You’ll Do

Lead and supervise the restaurant team to ensure seamless daily service delivery

Conduct daily briefings covering guest movements, special occasions, and dietary requirements

Oversee opening and closing procedures, shift preparation, and mise en place

Welcome and engage guests in line with refined service standards

Manage table allocations to optimise flow and guest satisfaction

Liaise closely with kitchen and management teams regarding menus, wine lists, and daily operations

Monitor staff performance, punctuality, and absenteeism

Support training, coaching, and performance management processes

Take responsibility for stock counts and ensure timely submission to stores

Oversee POS operations including settlements, voids, discounts, cash-ups, and end-of-day procedures

Assist with expenditure reporting and operational meetings

Coordinate group bookings, private dining, events, and function set-ups

Conduct pre- and post-event inspections to ensure venues meet required standards

Identify, report, and address operational risks and hazards
What You’ll Need

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a fine-dining or luxury hospitality environment

Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards

Confident leadership and people-management skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

Ability to work under pressure with strong time management

Wine knowledge or certification advantageous
