A vibrant city hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead front of house operations and deliver consistent, high standard food and beverage service from breakfast through to dinner.
This role suits a hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and knows how to motivate a team while maintaining operational control.
What You’ll Do
• Lead daily restaurant operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
• Maintain consistent standards in food, beverage and service delivery
• Be present on the floor and lead by example
• Coach, develop and inspire the service team
• Manage staffing levels, rosters and productivity
• Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally
• Monitor stock control, ordering and cost management
• Conduct daily banking checks and administrative audits
• Drive revenue initiatives and support upselling strategies
• Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams for seamless service
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
What You’ll Need
• Hospitality qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within a 4 or 5 star hotel or full service restaurant
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Solid financial understanding and cost control experience
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution ability
• Professional, confident and calm demeanour
• Ability to multitask in a high pressure environment
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
