A prestigious five star hotel in Plettenberg Bay is seeking an experienced, service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of a world class dining outlet. This role is ideal for a polished hospitality professional with strong leadership ability, a passion for guest engagement and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
As the Restaurant Manager you will oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant, develop and motivate your team, uphold the highest service standards and support the Food and Beverage Manager in driving profitability.
What You Will Do

Manage daily operations of the restaurant and ensure seamless service flow

Lead, train and motivate the service team to deliver outstanding guest experiences

Engage personally with guests and regulars to build genuine relationships

Monitor guest feedback and take corrective action where required

Oversee ordering of F&B stock, cleaning supplies and uniforms

Manage staff attendance and ensure accurate reporting of leave and absenteeism

Maintain strong control over stock, assets and F&B security

Assist with monthly stocktaking and financial controls

Support the Food and Beverage Manager with planning and operational decision making
What You Need

Hotel school qualification in Food and Beverage
-
2 to 3 years’ experience in a five star hotel restaurant

Previous leadership or supervisory experience

Strong understanding of Micros POS

Excellent communication and numeracy skills with good financial awareness

Good wine knowledge and a passion for food

High level of English proficiency
