We are on the lookout for a passionate and eager Pastry Commis Chef to join a busy and innovative kitchen team at a leading hospitality establishment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment and has a keen interest in pastry production. You’ll support the pastry team in creating beautifully crafted desserts, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and kitchen discipline.
Minimum Requirements:

Culinary qualification preferred, especially with a focus on pastry.

Previous pastry kitchen experience of 6–12 months is advantageous.

Solid understanding of hygiene, food safety, and basic kitchen protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable working under pressure and standing for extended periods.

Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing kitchen environment.

Strong work ethic with a professional and well-groomed appearance.

Motivated team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.

Proficiency in English essential (additional languages a bonus).
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in baking, proofing, decorating, and other pastry production duties under the guidance of senior chefs.

Prepare and portion ingredients for a variety of dessert items including mousses, sponges, and cookie doughs.

Ensure high levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the work area.

Follow prep checklists, quality standards, and recipe guidelines consistently.

Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the pastry section.

Support with inventory control, stock rotation, and supply ordering as directed.

Contribute to dessert production for events, banquets, or other operational needs.

Learn and grow by applying techniques shared by senior team members.

Uphold kitchen safety policies and hygiene regulations at all times.
