What You’ll Do

Run your shift with confidence, ensuring smooth service from mise-en-place to pass control.

Oversee plating quality, timing, docket flow and the final preparation of dishes.

Lead and train junior chefs and kitchen assistants, ensuring strong teamwork and consistent standards.

Maintain strict hygiene processes, correct use of chemicals and completion of all required documentation.

Monitor stock, check product quality and assist with routine stock takes.

Ensure correct opening and closing procedures for all power and gas equipment.

Support equipment care, maintenance checks and safe food-handling practices.
What You’ll Need

At least 1 year experience in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.

Excellent cooking skills, strong food knowledge and the ability to run all sections.

Confident supervising a shift independently with calmness and authority.

Strong hygiene awareness and understanding of food-handling procedures.

Ability to train staff, manage time effectively and support both à la carte and functions.

Creativity for menu development and new product ideas.

Relevant culinary certificates beneficial.
