An exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to step into a key leadership role within a fast-paced hotel kitchen. This position suits a hands-on chef who enjoys responsibility, leads by example and takes pride in delivering consistent, well-executed dishes across à la carte and function service.
What You’ll Do

Take responsibility for the kitchen on shift, supporting smooth and efficient service delivery

Manage mise en place, service flow and plate presentation to required standards

Control the pass during service, ensuring accuracy, timing and quality

Guide, train and support junior chefs and kitchen assistants during prep and service

Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen organisation

Complete hygiene checks and ensure correct use of cleaning chemicals

Assist with stock control, quality checks and scheduled stock takes

Ensure correct opening and closing procedures for kitchen equipment

Support equipment care, maintenance reporting and safe working practices
What You’ll Need

Experience in a supervisory kitchen role within a high-volume environment

Strong all-round cooking ability with solid section knowledge

Confidence to run a shift calmly and effectively

Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen controls
