A luxury hospitality property in Cape Town is seeking a professional, friendly and organised Junior House Manager / Assistant Concierge to join its team.
Working closely with the Head Concierge and House Management teams, you will help deliver personalised guest service, coordinate experiences and support the smooth running of daily operations. This role suits someone who takes initiative, pays attention to detail and enjoys making guests feel welcome and well looked after.
Key responsibilities

Assist guests courteously and efficiently with Front Office enquiries and administration.

Provide personalised, discreet service from pre-arrival through to departure, anticipating guest needs.

Arrange tailored experiences and thoughtful touches based on individual guest preferences.

Assist with arrivals and departures, including check-ins, luggage, early or late arrivals and special requirements.

Coordinate airport transfers, guest transport, chauffeur services, restaurant bookings and local experiences.

Keep guest profiles, itineraries, reservations, preferences and follow-ups accurate on Opera PMS and internal systems.

Work closely with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Spa, Culinary, Events and Guest Experience teams to ensure guest requests are carried out promptly.

Prepare and maintain daily handovers, briefings, checklists, departmental logs and administrative records, keeping standard operating procedures current and ready for audits.

Conduct property walkthroughs and guest-area checks, coordinating with the relevant departments to maintain readiness.

Support the House Manager and Duty Manager with day-to-day operational oversight, reporting maintenance, service or operational concerns.

Build positive relationships with guests while maintaining high standards of service and professional presentation.
Requirements

Previous hotel or hospitality experience is essential, with a minimum of three years in a similar role within a five-star or comparable luxury environment.

A formal hospitality qualification is preferred.

A strong administrative background and excellent computer literacy, including Opera, POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Fluent English and strong communication skills, with confidence engaging with international guests.

Good knowledge of Cape Town’s cultural attractions, restaurants and leisure experiences.

Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks at once.

A professional, well-presented manner and a warm, natural approach to hospitality.

Discretion, initiative and the ability to remain calm while responding to guest needs.

The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.

Availability to work shifts: 06:30–15:30 and 14:00–23:00.
