Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment are seeking a well-organised and detail-focused Housekeeping Administrator for a modern hospitality property located in Sandton, Johannesburg.
This role plays an important part in supporting the housekeeping department with administrative coordination, communication, and operational organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and housekeeping team to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Administrator will support the housekeeping department with administrative and operational tasks, including:

Providing administrative support to the housekeeping department.

Assisting with daily room status updates and coordination with the front office team.

Preparing and updating housekeeping schedules and staff rosters.

Maintaining accurate records of linen inventory, housekeeping supplies, and stock levels.

Assisting with ordering and receiving housekeeping supplies.

Managing departmental filing, documentation, and reporting.
-
Coordinating maintenance reports and ensuring room defects are logged and followed up.

Supporting the Executive Housekeeper with staff attendance records and payroll-related administration.

Assisting with the coordination of VIP room preparations and special guest requests.

Preparing departmental reports and assisting with inventory tracking and cost monitoring.

Maintaining clear communication between housekeeping, maintenance, and front office teams.
Requirements

Previous experience in hotel administration or housekeeping coordination.

Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work efficiently in a busy hotel environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience with hotel systems or Microsoft Office will be advantageous.
