We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join a luxury hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance and repair work across the property, ensuring that all guest areas, back-of-house facilities, and equipment are maintained to the highest standard of safety, functionality, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to daily maintenance requests from guests and departments promptly and efficiently

Carry out general repairs including painting, plastering, carpentry, and tiling

Perform basic plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks, taps, toilets, and drains

Conduct light electrical work including replacing switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures (within scope)

Inspect and maintain furniture, doors, locks, windows, and fixtures

Assist with installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance schedules

Maintain an organized workshop and ensure adequate stock of tools and materials

Monitor and uphold health and safety standards in all work practices

Liaise with external contractors when specialist work is required

Complete accurate records of work orders, costs, and maintenance reports
Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role within a hospitality, residential, or commercial property environment

Proficiency in general building trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and general repair work)

Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements

Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Guest-focused attitude with clear communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Valid driver’s license advantageous

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as per operational requirements
