Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a highly organised and service-driven Groups & Events Reservationist to join a busy and dynamic reservations team at a leading hospitality establishment in Cape Town.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex bookings and group requirements with efficiency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle all group and event-related reservation enquiries via phone, email, and booking systems

Prepare detailed group quotations, contracts, and confirmations

Liaise with clients, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth event coordination

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all group bookings

Manage group rooming lists, deposits, and billing procedures

Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the booking process

Upsell services and promote property offerings where appropriate

Assist with reporting and administrative tasks related to group bookings

Follow all company policies and procedures related to reservations and data handling
Requirements:
-
2–3 years’ experience in a hotel reservations or events-related role (preferably in a 4/5-star property)

Familiarity with hotel PMS and reservation systems (e.g. Opera, Protel, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure

Strong administrative skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

A customer-first attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
