A dynamic city hotel group is seeking a commercially driven Groups and Conferencing Sales Manager based in Sandton to grow meetings, events and group accommodation revenue.
This is not an administrative role. This is a proactive, target driven position for someone who thrives on securing new business and closing deals in the corporate and agency market.
What You’ll Do
• Prospect and secure new conferencing and group clients
• Drive new business across corporate, government and agency markets
• Convert enquiries into confirmed events and accommodation blocks
• Conduct site inspections, client presentations and negotiations
• Package and upsell venues, menus and value adds
• Prepare and manage contracts and service level agreements
• Work closely with Revenue, Reservations and Banqueting teams
• Drive occupancy through strategic group placement
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting
• Represent the hotel at networking events and trade shows
What You’ll Need
• 3–5 years’ experience in a proactive hotel sales role within the corporate or MICE segment
• Strong understanding of the Sandton corporate and agency market
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills
• Strong presentation and client engagement ability
• Existing corporate client network advantageous
• Highly organised and solutions focused
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to be client facing daily
