This contemporary hotel is known for its strong conference facilities and attracts corporate groups, events, and business travellers.
This position is ideal for a hospitality sales professional who enjoys building relationships with corporate clients, managing event bookings, and driving revenue through group and conference sales.
The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities while ensuring seamless coordination of conferences and group bookings.
Key Responsibilities
The Groups & Conferencing Sales Manager will be responsible for driving group and event revenue, including:

Managing and growing corporate accounts and conference business for the hotel.

Generating new group bookings, conferences, and event opportunities through proactive sales efforts.

Responding to conference and group enquiries, preparing proposals and quotations.

Conducting site inspections and presentations for potential clients.

Negotiating contracts and securing bookings for conferences, meetings, and group stays.

Working closely with operations, banqueting, and events teams to ensure successful event delivery.

Managing event planning communication between clients and operational departments.

Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to increase conference revenue.

Maintaining accurate records of bookings, leads, and client communications.

Attending industry networking events and sales activities to promote the hotel.

Preparing sales reports and forecasts for management.
Requirements

Previous experience in hotel sales, conference sales, or group reservations.

Strong knowledge of corporate hospitality sales and event management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage multiple events and bookings simultaneously.

Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

Experience working with hotel booking systems or CRM platforms is advantageous.
