We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to lead the F&B operations of a busy, high-profile hotel located in the heart of Sandton. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banqueting.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a large team to ensure high service standards and guest satisfaction.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of conferences, functions, and large-scale events.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure menu consistency, food quality, and timely service delivery.
- Monitor and manage budgets, cost control, and profitability across all F&B departments.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage inventory and procurement effectively.
- Implement and uphold standard operating procedures, service protocols, and training initiatives.
- Address guest feedback and service recovery in a proactive and professional manner.
- Report on F&B performance, including financials, guest satisfaction, and departmental KPIs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage management role within a hotel or upscale hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure and manage high volumes, particularly during events and peak seasons.
- Strong background in conference and event management, including logistics and client liaison.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- A hands-on and service-driven approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or related field is advantageous.
