A refined estate in the Cape Winelands is recruiting a Commis Chef to support its kitchen brigade in delivering consistent, quality-driven cuisine. This role suits a disciplined junior chef who is eager to learn and comfortable working within structured service standards.
What You’ll Do
Complete daily mise en place including preparation of meat, fish and fresh produce
Cook and plate dishes under guidance of senior chefs
Support smooth kitchen operations during service
Maintain strict hygiene and HACCP standards
Ensure correct stock rotation and storage procedures
Assist with inventory counts and report equipment issues
What You’ll Need
Minimum 1 year experience in a kitchen environment
Relevant culinary qualification
Good time management and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Matric Certificate
