A luxury 5-star hotel in Bantry Bay is seeking an experienced and highly organised Banqueting & Events Manager to lead the planning and flawless execution of upscale events, conferences, and private functions. The ideal candidate is service-driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in delivering memorable experiences in a high-end hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Events Sales team, Head Chef, and F&B department to execute exceptional events

Design and oversee event layouts, room setups, and guest flows tailored to each function

Manage event staff, assign duties, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the event lifecycle

Oversee setup of furniture, décor, service stations, AV requirements, and dining areas

Monitor the flow and timing of meal courses, beverages, and special moments
-
Coordinate and manage beverage and bar service where applicable

Prepare and manage event schedules, function sheets, and departmental briefs

Handle client queries, special requests, and last-minute changes professionally

Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and satisfaction

Control event costs and work within allocated budgets while maintaining service quality
Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality, Events, or related field (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Event Management (preferred)

3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or events venue

Strong planning, coordination, and leadership skills

Excellent communication and guest-relations abilities

Experience using event software or hotel management systems (e.g. Opera, Delphi, Caterease)

Proven ability to manage multiple events under pressure while upholding 5-star standards

In-depth knowledge of event protocol, banqueting best practices, and luxury service etiquette
