A prestigious Waterfront hotel is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering exceptional room and public area standards while building a high-performing team.
This role combines operational oversight with strong training leadership and is ideal for someone who is passionate about service excellence and structured team development.
What You’ll Do
• Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations
• Take full leadership responsibility in the absence of senior management
• Ensure exceptional quality standards across guest rooms, public areas and back of house spaces
• Conduct daily room inspections and quality checks
• Manage housekeeping training programmes and staff inductions
• Drive performance standards and coaching within the department
• Monitor labour costs and ensure effective scheduling
• Maintain grooming, presentation and brand standards across the team
• Address guest concerns promptly and implement service recovery actions
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Support renovation and improvement projects when required
What You’ll Need
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership or training role within housekeeping
• Strong supervisory and coaching ability
• Proven experience maintaining five-star service standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
• Hospitality qualification advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast paced and detail driven environment
