A dynamic city hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to support daily front office operations and lead a high performing team.
This role is ideal for a confident hospitality professional who combines operational strength with a guest focused leadership style.
What You’ll Do
• Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations
• Lead front desk teams to deliver seamless check in and check out experiences
• Supervise shifts and take full responsibility in the absence of the Front Office Manager
• Manage guest concerns and implement effective service recovery
• Monitor staffing levels to meet service and financial objectives
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and operational standards
• Drive training, coaching and team development initiatives
• Support employee engagement and performance management processes
• Maintain strong collaboration across departments
• Uphold brand standards and guest service excellence at all times
What You’ll Need
• Hospitality qualification
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Front Office Supervisory or Assistant Management role within a 4 or 5 star property
• Strong leadership and team management ability
• Solid operational and financial understanding
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Professional presentation and calm demeanour under pressure
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
