An exclusive 5-star luxury hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the leadership and daily operations of its elegant dining outlets. This is a hands-on role for a service-driven professional who thrives in a refined environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional culinary and beverage experiences.
What You’ll Do

Assist in managing all Food & Beverage outlets including restaurants, bars and in-room dining

Lead, train and inspire a team to deliver outstanding service in line with 5-star standards

Oversee stock control, cost management and supplier relations to ensure smooth operations

Maintain compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations

Handle guest feedback with professionalism and ensure every experience is memorable

Support menu and wine pairing development alongside the culinary team

Monitor budgets and contribute to achieving revenue and profitability goals
What You’ll Need

Minimum 3–5 years’ leadership experience in a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment

Strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage trends (WSET or similar an advantage)

Proficiency in Opera PMS, Micros or equivalent systems

Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills

Detail-oriented, calm under pressure and focused on exceeding guest expectations
