We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join the leadership team at a luxury property located in the heart of Cape Town’s Foreshore district.

Responsibilities:
Support the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.
Coordinate and guide outlet managers and service teams to ensure smooth execution and high standards of guest service.
Assist in staff scheduling, training, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Ensure service excellence is delivered consistently across dining outlets, bars, in-room dining, and banqueting operations.
Monitor stock, assist with procurement, and implement controls to minimize waste and manage inventory effectively.
Contribute to menu planning, pricing, and promotional strategies in collaboration with the kitchen and marketing teams.
Address guest concerns and resolve service issues in a calm and professional manner.
Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and ensure that all hygiene protocols are followed.
Support financial reporting, cost controls, and departmental planning.
Stand in for the F&B Manager as needed, ensuring uninterrupted leadership and operations.
Requirements:
2–3 years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment.
A relevant hospitality qualification or diploma.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Sound knowledge of food and beverage service operations and health & safety regulations.
Professional demeanor, well-groomed appearance, and a guest-centric mindset.
Ability to manage pressure, problem-solve effectively, and make confident decisions.
Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Comfortable using MS Office and hospitality systems for inventory, scheduling, and operations.
