We’re recruiting an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to support the financial operations of a high-performing luxury hotel. This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting and disciplined cost management while supporting and leading a finance team.
What You’ll Do

Support the Financial Controller with monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Oversee cost control and purchasing functions to ensure efficient and compliant operations

Assist with preparation of management accounts, profit and loss statements and balance sheets

Review daily revenue, debtors’ ledgers and ensure healthy aging and timely collections

Manage fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, provisions and deferred expenses
-
Prepare VAT returns and support statutory and audit requirements

Monitor payroll imports and ensure balance sheet accounts clear correctly

Maintain accurate financial records and support internal and external audits
-
Lead and manage the finance team to ensure productivity, accuracy and compliance

Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control initiatives
What You’ll Need

Relevant finance or accounting qualification

Proven experience in a senior finance role within a hospitality or similar operational environment

Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls and reporting processes

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Strong leadership, organisational and analytical skills
-
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a structured environment
