An exciting opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join a leading luxury hospitality and lifestyle business. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the wider finance team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial administration across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and reconcile cash books and daily cash-ups
- Process general ledger transactions and journal entries
- Manage debtors administration, invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
- Process creditors invoices, reconciliations, and payment loading
- Assist with stock administration, invoice capturing, and monthly stocktakes
- Manage petty cash administration
- Order centralised goods and supplies
- Provide general finance and office administration support
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (completed or in progress)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience with Pastel (Sage) Evolution or similar accounting software
- Previous hospitality, agriculture, or related industry experience will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships across departments
- Flexible, accountable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities
